The staff work very hard as they are always rushed off their feet and most of the bars/restaurants are very short staffed. The Seashore is modern with lots of different options to eat and drink. We had cabin 18005 which was modern and had reasonable space for a Cruise Ship. We upgraded to the Yacht Club and the whole area is really nice. That attitude doesn’t cut it on MSC if you want food, bar service, or even a restroom at times. As Canadians we’re known to be overly polite. Couple that with a copious amount of rude passengers and it’s tough to obtain a drink at most bars. Most staff do not greet you and seem disconnected from their duties. A mixed drink shouldn’t take 10-15 minutes to obtain. Even the staff that are working are in no rush. Again there are far too few servers for the amount of guests. But good luck getting your drinks at most bars. We purchased the Easyplus package for drinks and it’s great value. Anything we wanted from the stations was quickly picked over and plates were even difficult to come by. Once we found one no staff ever came to clear the food waste and dishes left behind by the previous party. We spent close to a half hour trying just to secure a table to eat at. The ship is beautiful but too big for the staff provided to stay on top of everything. Between kids and adults of all ages bumping into you as well as ridiculously long lines to obtain mediocre food the MSC experience turns pale. You are a sandwiched in sheep anytime you try the buffet. Another reviewer likened this ship to a cattle car going to the slaughter and they are not far off. The ports have been fantastic! And that’s where the MSC experience ends. The itinerary around Spain, Italy, and France is wonderful. When cruising it all comes down to the itinerary and we chose MSC because of precisely that. It was such a fantastic experience that we couldn’t wait to book another to the same region. We’ve been on several cruises over the past dozen years with the last one being in 2022 around Greece on another cruise line. Also the excursions prices are ridiculous, 14 euro per adult for a bus when Its 4 euro on a taxi!!!! Nice boat, very clean and great service, food first two nights was awful but the last 5 it was outstanding and we cleared every plate, although they are sitting 900 people 3 times a night so expectations must be lowered slightly. Only gripes would be the amount of people, another buffet restaurant would of been decent and also the casino also being a bar and a walk through to the other amenities on the other wise. We had one issue where we were moved restaurants on our first night from central to 5th, but the manager was fantastic with us including showing our daughter some origami, and also the drinks person who was on the ball and work very hard and also Pasek, our waiter for the week was outstanding who provided very good service to our table, he joked and made us laugh and made it a good experience, and if anything we our glad that we were moved in restaurants as the mood in the other one looked depressing, the staff were fantastic in ours and I'm glad that we were moved.
